Filler Injection

WHAT ARE FILLERS?

Fillers are injectable gel-like substances used to treat the hands and different areas of the face, such as the cheeks, nasolabial folds, chin, and lips. There are three types of fillers, Hyaluronic Acid (a sugar naturally found in the body), Calcium Hyfroxulapatite (a mineral of bone component), and Poly-L-Lactic Acid (biodegradable synthetic material) made by different companies, of which each has a unique effect. Fillers’ components are eventually broken down and absorbed by the body, but results can last from 12 to 24 months.

WHAT ARE THEY USED FOR?

Fillers are very popular nowadays to achieve particular contours which give you a visual desire for a natural effect and are meant to create a smooth and fuller appearance. Fillers correct moderate-to-severe facial wrinkles and skin folds and increase the fullness of lips, cheeks, chin, under-eye hollows, jawline, and back of the hand.

WHY FILLERS?

As we age, structural changes occur under the skin, such as dermal thinning, fat loss and redistribution, and skeletal remodeling. As a result, the skin starts to have this saggy look requiring support underneath to lift it and retain its original shape.
